OPEN REHEARSAL: Friday, April 16th 5:30pm @ VMA, Providence, RI
Michael Stern | The Open Rehearsal runs from 5:30-8:00pm as the Orchestra rehearses
the music for the Classical Concert, Post-Taxation Celebration, that will take
place Saturday, April 17 at 8:00pm.
The Open Rehearsal gives the audience an
opportunity to observe the process of putting together a symphony orchestra
concert. Because this is a rehearsal, not an actual concert, there will be
stops in the music as the conductor goes over specific sections rather than the
Orchestra performing the music straight through from start to finish. It is
also possible that not all music for the upcoming concert will be
rehearsed.
There is no reserved seating for the
rehearsal. Audience members may sit wherever they wish, and feel free to change
their seats when the Orchestra takes a break. Audience members can remain for
the entire rehearsal or leave at the break.
Tickets are available online or by phone at 401.248.7000
