ALLISON'S CORNER

The New BusWe will be riding in style this summer on our new bus!!  It even has a radio!  Spring Break Camp and Summer Camp registrations are open now.  So come on in and register for your place on the bus!!  Check out the notes tab on our facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/home.phpsfrm=1#!/pages/Northumberland-Family-YMCA/118565918165949 or stop by to visit us for more information about our camps!!  We are busy making memories one summer at a time!

 

Also, parent/child t-ball registration is open for ages 3-5!  This is a great way to have quality time with your child while beginning to teach him/her the rules of the Greatest American Pastime!  You can register on line at www.peninsulaymca.org or come by the office to see us!! 

 

Soccer has kicked into full swing!  Our first home game will be played on March 19th at 10:00 am on the practice field behind the old high school. All other home games will be played at Northumberland Middle School on March 26th & April 9th beginning at 10:00 am, and on Friday, April 15 at 6:00.  Come on out and support your local Y soccer program!!

Big Red CrossIn honor of Gabrielle Giffords, the Northumberland County American Red Cross is pleased to host "Save-A-Life Saturday" on March 19th at Festival

Hall in Reedville during the Winter Market.  Hands Only CPR, controlling external bleeding and managing shock demonstrations will begin at 10am until 2pm on the hour.  If you are not able to attend, our chapter offers full length CPR and First Aid training for certification throughout the year and would be happy to register you for one of our standard courses.  Please call the Heathsville office at 804-580-4933 for more information.  We hope that "Save-A-Life Saturday" will go a long way to make our communities more safe as well as raise awareness about the need for CPR and First Aid training.
