The chilly weather means it is the perfect time for Groundwater Field Trips!  This last week WEN went to Garden City Montessori School to teach students about aquifers and the connection between groundwater and surface water.

Sat. Feb 5, 11-12am- Travelers Rest Winter Story Telling: Every Saturday at Travelers Rest there will be Winter Story Telling from different speakers.  For more information click here


Feb 4-5- Turning the Tide Conference: Reclaiming Human Health by Restoring the Planet: This conference will be held at the St. Patrick Hospital Broadway Building Building in downtown Missoula and will have many interesting speakers.  For more information and to register visit their website

Tues. Feb., 8, 7-8:30pm- Conservation and Climate Change Lecture Series:  This series is free and open to the public and takes place at the University of Montana Gallagher Business Building Rm 106.
 

Feb 7-8- Indian Education for All- Best Practices Conference: This conference will be held in Helena.  For more information visit the Office of Public Instruction's

Tues. Feb. 8 and Wed. Feb. 9, 10am-2pm- UM Volunteer Fair: WEN will be at the University of Montana UC Atrium for the UM Volunteer Fair. Come bring your friends and say hi, play with the groundwater flow model, learn about volunteer opportunities this year and get updated on the latest news.
 

Thurs. Feb 10, 5-8pm- WEN Volunteer Orientation and Game Night!:  From 5-6 there will be a New Volunteer Orientation introduce new volunteers to WEN's polices and procedures.  During 6-7 we will have a Groundwater Training to train volunteers on our Groundwater Flow Model.  From 7-8 there will be games, fun, and food to celebrate a start of a new season! Tues. Feb., 22- Swift Building Downtown on Tap: WEN is partnering with other awesome non-profits in the Swift Building to host a Missoula Downtown on Tap event.  Join us for drinks, soup, and mingling.

Sat Feb., 26- West Slope Chapter Trout Unlimited Banquet: Our partners are hosting their yearly banquet that allows them to donate to organizations that they support.  There will be a wonderful dinner and an auction!

March 24-26- Montana Environmental Education Association: This year's MEEA conference will be held in Missoula.  WEN will be hosting a Milltown Journey's Field Trip on Thursday March 24th.  For more information go to their website.
