December 2011

 Issue 25

Greetings!

We hope everyone had a safe and happy Thanksgiving, and we wish you all the same for the upcoming holiday season.

The Career Center of Lowell held a Job Fair for Veterans on November 8, 2011. The Job Fair was open exclusively to veterans for the first hour and 49 veterans were able to take advantage of dedicated time with local companies. After the first hour the Fair was open to the public. Overall, the Job Fair was a complete success with over 200 job seekers in attendance. We would like to thank all of the participating employers for their support.

Bridget Villare (right), speaks with a representative of Home Depot. Bridget is a veteran of the U.S. Navy where she was an Air Traffic Control Specialist. "This Job Fair is especially great for me! I recently completed my obligations to the Navy, so being able to meet with different types of employers face-to-face was a valuable experience". Bridget is looking for office administration or project management positions. To view her resume, click here
