No, we are not talking about cheating in the draft, or breaking the rules, or bad acting coaches or parents, or bad referees, we are talking about of all things pictures!
Normally I would let this take its course and self correct, which it will over time, but one recent email (OF MANY) actually used the words "board cover-up" and another says the league has handled the situation "unprofessionally". Well, I just can't let that go.
I believe only a handful of you will really care to read this; at lest you will have VCYS's side of the story.
So here's some of the history from what I know. We engaged a new photographer this season Paul LeFevre, a local photographer who has worked with other leagues and the schools. The board thought cool, his prices are competitive, let's try him and keep the work local if we can.
We prepared our first payment to Paul on 08/19 in the amount of $1,134.00. I am not sure what date he actually received it but that is the date it was prepared. The second payment in the amount of $1,233.75 was prepared on 09/30 per the reconciliation/invoice in Paul's email of 09/25 and he was given that check on 10/03. There was an additional small payment of $73.50 prepared on 10/03. We did/do not have a physical address for Paul so we had to meet to get him payments. My understanding is he is or was moving around that time.
From the Treasurer's side of things this is what I know. I think, from the VCYS side of things, that we have tried to do everything we could to get the pictures to you. There are literally dozens of back and forth emails as well as phone calls between Christine and Paul and between Janis and Paul.
I also understand that Paul is distributing the pictures he does have individually to people at the moment. I do not believe we, the league, have received any actual shipments. And, to the best of my knowledge Paul is still waiting on shipments from his lab.

So there you go, happy to answer any questions I can and if we receive anything from Paul about shipments we will certainly pass that on to you. We are still hoping we can get you pictures for this weekend!
