Hi ,

First off we'd like to thank you for a truly great season! We really hope you enjoyed participating with your teams as much as we enjoyed having you on the fields.

Our All Star Draft Meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 16th, from 7:00pm to 9:00 at the Primary School Multi-Purpose Room.

Head and/or Assistant coaches are asked to meet with the other coaches in your division to recommend players to represent Valley Center, in the Mesa All Star tournament. The Mesa Tournament is held December 12th and 13th.

Pee Wee does not participate in All Stars, nor does Division 2 (U15/U16)

All coaches are asked to be at this selection meeting to petition for their players. Coaches MUST bring their white forms (Player Registration/Medical Release) to the meeting. If the head coach is unavailable to attend, an assistant or team administrator, is asked to show in their place.

Please keep a copy of your player forms for the last game of the season. We will bring a copier to the meeting. The original forms are required for check in at the tournament.

The head coach for each All Star team is determined by:
   A) Current license and approved risk management status.
   B) Season record.
   C) Conduct during the season.

For Divisions with four teams the drafting coach much take a minimum of two players from each team.

For Divisions with six teams the drafting coach much take a minimum of one players from each team.

The remaining players are selected by the All Star coach with input from the other coaches in the division.

A team may only roster the maximum number of players that Mesa allows in that division.
   Division 5 & 6 are 14 players maximum.
   Division 3 & 4 are 18 players maximum.

Rosters must be completed and turned in before the end of the meeting. There is lots of administrative work to do after the meeting; roster preparation, production of player and coach cards, completion of information on the tournament website and so on. Much is done by the board, some will be done by you.

Once the teams are selected please make sure to contact these players immediately, make sure they ( and their parents) will make the commitment. Ask about vacations, can they commit to both days or any number of other reasons. Just in case you have some players who can't commit it is a good idea to to be prepared with alternate choices so we can get you the paperwork if necessary.

More information will be given to the All Star coach, when he or she is determined.

Good luck to all of you in your remaining games.

Thanks again for all you have done to make this a really  great season!
