Somne of you may have seen the email below. It was forwarded to me with the question, "What is up with this?"
Thom Terrazas formed a new referee association for the Escondido area.
SDSRA assigns games in Valley Center, various clubs and numerous tournaments.
To the best of my knowledge if you want to do games in Escondido you will need to join and pay their association fee.
It is certainly your choice to work where you want to. I'd strongly suggest if you have availability submit it to Leanne. You will, in my opinion, receive better training, with higher standards and usually better quality games.
Please let me know if you have any questions about this. We don't want confused referees paying fees they don't need to pay.
PS - Do not do ANYTHING with the registration card you may have received from USSF. There has been a leadership change at CalSouth in the Referee Committee. Likley things will change from what you have seen printed. We will keep you advised. Leanne and I will be attending a referee leadership meeting at CalSouth on 09/26, hopefully there will be some direction.

Availability
· Availability forms are up and located on both www.sandiegoreferees.com and www.escondidosoccerclub.orgèReferee Link;
o Make sure you submit your availability for September and October as soon as possible. We don't know when you can referee unless you submit your availability.
o If your availability changes, re-submit a new form.
Grade 9 to Grade 8 Referees
· Grade 9 referees - Please seek out a Grade 8 clinic to upgrade your license within the next year. It is ideal that you do this than to renew your registration for 2010 as a Grade 9.
Renewal of your Registration for 2010
· You should have received your Registration Renewal already for 2010. There are specific instructions for what you need to do to renew your license for the 2010 year.
o Directions are located on the Cal South Website www.calsouth.com under the Referee è Registration Link (We'll go over that at the meeting as well)
Competitive games
· We'll go over procedures for turning in paperwork for competitive games - They must be mailed in.
