Soccer Header

Hi ,

For all coaches

Goals
At the end of the day the goals must be put away, turned around and locked to the fence (or to each other depending on the field), no matter who took them out!
This is a critical safety issue. Unlocked goals are an inherent safety issue. If chains or locks are missing please notify Todd Maynard immediately at president@vcys.org

For all coaches using the Middle School
Gates and Locks
We need your help keeping the gates locked. The school has decided this should be a closed campus; that is a great thing for us. Let's help them with the process especially since we get these fields for free.

The first person to unlock the gate needs to take the lock and chain together and lock them to the fence. This will stop the lock and chain from being lost or stolen. Unlocked locks are an attractive nuisance for any kid.

The last coach to leave the field must lock and chain the gate closed.

You will notice that there are two locks on the chain, (1) a key lock for the school and (2) a combination lock for the league. You must loop one lock through the other lock (daisy chain) and then lock it. This allows the chain to be removed by unlocking only one of the locks allowing either the school or the league to independently access the fields.

PLEASE email me with any questions. We have already lost and/or replaced over $90 in locks and chains on that field and the season has not even started yet! We, as a league, are obligated to keep the goals locked, the children on the campus safe and the gates locked, help us out.

Thank you,
Rick Hall
