It is really nice when someone takes the time to tell us how well we did!
Below is a great note about a few of the games from the Copa Tournament. Pretty sure the first game she speaks to Ismael Rodriguez was the referee, with Dave Winebarger as an Assistant on that game. The other games she speaks to we think it was Brian and Kevin Koenig on the crew.
Overall we rocked at this tournament and did a great job! We, as a group, received many positive comments.
Really nice when we get it right! Her note is below.

Generally I suspect you don't hear when things go well. I
wanted to express my appreciation to the referees we had for our BU-12 Chula

While our Asst. Coach was ejected during our third game
(ouch), the referee had great control of the game from the start. He
didn't hold a grudge against the players, he was sharp despite being relatively
young. This was also true of the other two games in which our boys played
and I hope for the same tomorrow at Hickman. In fact, at our first game,
I saw our sideline referee insist on consulting with the center referee to make
sure a direct and not an indirect kick was given. It was
handled professionally and the center ref deferred in the end. So please
say thank you to the referees and sideline refs we were assigned.
I am one of the older parents in my group as my daughter who is
now 22 almost started out with the Bonita Rebels and Gus Castenada at age
8. I have seen it all I think, and so frequently it seems the hard work
that our kids, coaches and clubs put into this sport becomes so unforgiving
when a referee is inexperienced, or unable to accept the calls of the sideline
referees, or frankly is just incompetent.
This was not the case this weekend.
Nice tournament.
