Here are a few things that will help make the evening go easier for everyone, hopefully.   ;-)

Please review the Division Status on the Home Page of the website so you understand where your division is.

Check-In with Registrars - you MUST check in with the registrars when you arrive. You may only receive your rating sheets and the rest of your draft packet after they have received a current Administrator Form and completed their checklist. Hint:arrive early. If you have not completed an Administrator Form please bring a completed one with you to save time.
  • NO children at draft
  • Only the Head coach and one assistant coach may be in the room; no parents, no team parents, etc.
  • A Head coach may appoint a proxy for draft
  • Please review the Coach List and make sure we have you listed correctly, especially your email address.
  • Ratings sheets for your division may be obtained after 5:00 and after you check in with the Registrars. Once you have your ratings sheet you may not leave the building with them.
  • Draft is not for Pee Wees
  • Please be on-time! Draft will begin on schedule.

Equipment - should be available for pick-up by all divisions after 6:30. If you do not get your equipment tonight, you need to make arrangements directly with John McGlynn to do so equipment@vcys.org.

Risk Management
- you MUST be Risk managed to take the field with players, as must ANY adult, Assistant Coach, Team Parent, helper, whatever. We will do our best to have your status at tonight's draft. We will have further instructions at draft for the where and the how of R.M. In order to get Risk managed you must have submitted a current Administrator Form to the Rec Registrar BEFORE going to Live Scan.

Practice Schedules - at the beginning of the draft you will choose numbers for the order of draft. Before you leave the table that night you will also choose your Practice Schedules in the reverse order of your draft number. You are allowed two practice slots per week on the field assigned to your division. Board members, as a perk for service to the league, get first selection.

Uniforms - are distributed at the Mandatory Coach's Meeting on September 2nd at 7:15 at the Lower Elementary School. Your team's uniform colors may be selected at draft if catalogs are available. The selection of colors is done in the reverse order of your draft number. Board members, as a perk for service to the league, get first selection.

League Email - a reminder that you, as coaches, are required to be subscribed to receive league emails. It is easy to do, just remember to finish the process and confirm your subscription.

Check-out with Registrar - When your draft is completed you MUST check out with the registrar. You'll get instructions as to what that process is.

A reminder, Pee Wee is an assigned division, it does not participate in draft.
