This is the final week of Dr. Diamond's current exhibition at the Bendheim Gallery in Greenwich, CT.
A collection of photography, Japanese scrolls, canvases, parasols, and other media fill the gallery with artwork that goes beyond the purely aesthetic to deliver a message of healing.
The exhibit arranged by the Bendheim's curator, Tatiana Mori, is an invitation to view art in a new way. Dr. Diamond invites us to take in the healing intention through the image. As he states: "They are not for the wall, they are for the Soul."
At the lecture and book signing held at the gallery on May 21, Dr. Diamond discussed the therapeutic intention of his work by referring to the use of art in the Japanese Zen tradition. "As a Zen master gets older, he stops teaching, stops writing, and concentrates on painting," Dr Diamond explained, "He can go deeper into people, he can help people more with painting than he can with words."
Following the success of this exhibition, we are pleased to announce that Dr. Diamond's photography will return to Greenwich in October in an art show inspired by the noble pine trees at the Montgomery Pinetum.
Don't miss this last opportunity to see Dr. Diamond's artwork on display at the Bendheim Gallery, and see for yourself what Art for Healing is about.
