Greetings!
It has been an exciting Winter so far, with two exhibit openings on the West Coast within the space of a week. Both - one at the Japanese Friendship Garden in San Diego, and the other at Galeria JAN in La Jolla - were a great success.
To mark the opening of the Japanese Friendship Garden exhibit, Dr. Diamond gave an inspiring lecture in which he discussed two of his major influences: the literati scholar-painters of ancient China, and those of the related Japanese nanga school. You can view the talk below:
There is a distinctive intention and purpose in every element of the Japanese Garden - it is in its own way a masterpiece. Dr. Diamond's Stillpoint paintings are at home in such an environment, where the act of placing a rock, a brushstroke, or a bonsai branch is done from a place of deep meditation, to emphasize the beauty and perfection of its nature and form.
Take a look at the following slide show of the exhibit at the Japanese Friendship Garden:
On a related note, Dr. Diamond's website is currently hosting a Winter holiday sale! Following our Japanese theme, there are generous discounts on a selected series of Dr. Diamond's hand-painted Scrolls. We invite you to take a look by clicking here. Don't miss out on this opportunity for a beautiful life-enhancing gift.
Stay tuned for the next newsletter in our California exhibit series featuring Dr. Diamond's exhibit opening at Galeria JAN in La Jolla.
