Dear ACLU of Georgia Supporter:

Debbie Seagraves
From Debbie Seagraves
Executive Director

Mark your calendars!  The ACLU of Georgia is coming to a city near you.

Our School to Prison Pipeline Campaign, 100 Stories in 100 Days, begins at our Annual Meeting on October 2nd.  Along with our coalition partners, we will be visiting  five Georgia cities to hear from students, parents, educators, community leaders, and elected officials.  We are collecting stories that tell how the School to Prison Pipeline impacts students, families, and communities.

Is your school system doing a great job of educating the youth in your community?

Do you have concerns about what has happened to your child at school?

Do you have an idea to improve the school system?

We want to hear from you.  Join us in these cities as parents, advocates, policy makers and lawyers share with you Specific Local Community Demographics/Statistics, How to Navigate the School System, How to be Your Child's Advocate, Organizing Your Community, Resources to Help Your Child Succeed, and Ensuring Accountability for Elected Officials through Engagement.

Register for the FREE conference, October 2 at the State Bar of Georgia.

Georgia has taken important steps to change the climate in our public schools by banning solitary confinement, recognizing the need for change, involving the community and focusing on educational excellence, but we have so much more work to be done! That work will require students, parents, community members, and organizations coming together for a better Georgia!  Register today for a forum in your community.  If you cannot attend a local forum, but would like to share your story, send an email to stppforum@acluga.org.

We look forward to seeing you.
