NEW WORK

This month we have a new selection from

Karen Franzen,

Joan Flusche,

Paul Chester,

Corina Keiffert Chester, Vera Lohse, Kimberly Price, Ruth Rodgers and Linda Williams.

We also welcome potter Jane Klarer-Lackey to the gallery.

It's hot outside but there's some cool stuff happening all summer long at META4 Gallery. There's still time to sign up for Spectacular Summer Art Camp (but hurry, many dates are already full!) and some terrific classes for adults and teens.

Paint all summer with your new watercolour smarts. All it takes is one day, really. Our Watercolour 1-2-3 class on Saturday July 9th will equip you with all the basic know-how so you can paint all summer.

You can learn the ins and outs of painting outdoors in our Plein Air Pairs and our Intro to Plein Air Oils (plein air is the French term used to describe working outdoors and capturing the scene in front of you).

If you're looking for inspiration, you'll find it in spades with experienced instructor and successful artist Monika Aebischer. Her Liquid Wax on Paper or Fabric is a unique opportunity to try some different mixed media techniques. Whether you're an experienced artist or just starting out, you're sure to leave full of new ideas and knowledge.

Lunch at a local restaurant is included in all our full-day classes. You'll feel like you've been away on vacation!

Feature Artist Karen Franzen

META4 is pleased to bring you KAREN FRANZEN as our featured artist for the month of July!

Karen's love of colour and design was nurtured by her artist father, who opened her eyes to the colourful beauty of nature. Her own personality is vibrant and playful, attributes that are well illustrated in her ceramic pieces.

Karen graduated from the Ontario College of Art & Design and now works from her studio overlooking a ravine in the beach area of Toronto. Inspired by the urban wildlife and natural area surrounding her, she creates functional and often humourous objects that are intended to be used and enjoyed. Karen's work has been exhibited in Canada, Bermuda, the US and Japan.

During the month of July,

save 10% on all Karen Franzen ceramics.
