Gotta love the imaginations of our Alden friends!!

It's seems one of the key ingredients to a successful event is food. Chef Joyce hosted breakfast and bingo last Wednesday including pancakes with toppings that would make ELF jealous. DSU bingo included some Mother's Day prizes thrown in. We are sure mom loved the scented candles, fragrant sticks, slap bracelets and key chains! After all, it is the thought that counts!

Tuesday, in recognition of National Chocolate Chip day, Abby made an edible cookie dough to freeze and dip in chocolate today. It was delicious and the temptation was too great to let it sit for 24 hours!

Don't miss our OPEN HOUSES all this month. We've loved meeting new friends and look forward to greeting more new faces next week! Everyone says it just takes walking into the building and the kids are hooked....parents too. MONDAY, May 21st - Open House for incoming 6th graders and current DMS students from 3:00pm - 5:00pm. Chandler and Alden friends are welcome to stop in and check us out Monday through Thursday between 3:00pm - 5:00pm.

June 1^st - ½ day Fist Full of Fun, 10.30am - 3pm. Alden Members $35, Nonmembers $45, DMS Members $25, Nonmembers $30. To register, click here.

June 6^th- Scooper Bowl Boston - 3pm - 6pm. DSU closes at 3pm sharp. Field trip limited to 45 students.

June 8^th - 5^th grade Who Dunnit party - 5^th grade 2013 new members are welcome to get involved in the planning

June 14^th - Last day of DSU after school program - Clean out the fridge day!

June 16^th - Summer Fest - for families, toddler to teens.

June 18^th - Last day of school

June 19 - 22 - DSU Fist Full of Fun camp - Extreme Sports, American Roadtrip, Happy kids, just add water.

June 20^th - 21st - TBD Acting camp with Bethany Constance, Talent Manager.

We've left the best events for last... VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for Summer Fest!

Don't despair if you haven't fulfilled your 10 hour annual obligation to the DSU. Sign up to volunteer at upcoming events.

Friday, June 8th - 5th grade Who Dunnit party volunteers. Help with serving food, tickets and general good mood control. 4 volunteers needed.

Saturday, June 16th - we need heavy lifters, medical personnel, ticket and t-shirt sellers, inflatable game supervisors, food and beverage sellers, breakdown and clean up crews. Enormously fun, social day, hardly feels like work! 30 volunteers needed.
