"Chickens, Eggs & Faith"
One of the great-debated questions of life is whether chickens or eggs came first. Often people get so immersed in the debate that they never take a stand or make a decision.
It reminds me of a comment I came across this week:
"I'm confused--no wait--maybe I'm not!" Indecision can be paralyzing!
Sometimes we want all the evidence before we feel adequate to make a decision. In spiritual realms, this often makes a convenient excuse not to take a position, to make a decision.
However faith often goes before understanding, Obedience often precedes insight.
The Psalmist says: "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding" (Psalm 111:10)
Take those steps of faith and God will give you all the understanding and insight you need for life!

New Sermon Series: The Church Jesus Builds!
 Jesus Christ said, "...I will build my Church and the gates of hell will not prevail over it" (Matthew 16:18). These are days when God is build and rebuilding His Church---including Grace Community! Beginning this Sunday, Pastor Wes will lead us in a 10-part sermon series on Christ's ideal for His Church. The first in this series will be "Truth" Please add this sermon series to your prayer. God is accomplishing much through His Church! |
Women of Faith Conference
We have 10 ladies connected with GCCN attending the Philadelphia conference this Friday and Saturday. Please pray that they will have safe travel, great fellowship and an Holy Spirit-anointed time!

Men Begin "The Quest"
 Last evening our men had a great start to a 24-part series on what the Bible teaches about authentic manhood. This series has something to say to every man! If you missed this first session, watch the session here for a small fee. Next Tuesday is our second session, then a week off. A week from Saturday is our one-day annual Men's Conference, "Winning, God's Way!" with speaker Bill Minahan. You can view the brochure by clicking here . Join us for Youth Group tonight at 7p! It's going to be a night of describing things and discussion! Join us for a great time! Tonight, we are talking about love, respect and worth. We just don't really get it. Click here for our page on the church website and learn about our topic.
Saturday is our first Quiz Meet at Toms River COTN. We've been practicing very hard and we're ready for the challenges ahead! Keep us in prayer!

Mission to China Presentation
Ming and Joyce will be sharing about their recent mission trips into China on Sunday Evening, September 23 at 6:30. This presentation will include pictures and stories about how God lead them and some of what was accomplished through them and the team which they were part of. Refreshments will be served. |
Grace Community Prayer Team
The first prayer goal during the month of August was to have 50 people become part of this 2012-2013 GCCN Prayer Team. We have reached that--Praise God! If you are part this vital and essential ministry, you should have received the September Pray List this past week. The GCCN Prayer Team is the powerhouse of the new things that God is seeking to do.
