From Pastor Wes
Without the resurrection of Easter, there no true Messiah. Without the Messiah, there is no ultimate hope! There have been many "messiahs" and even some miracle workers--they come and go. They die and stay dead. After everything else Jesus Christ did while on earth, He put the exclamation point on when He rose from the dead. That could not be counterfeited or duplicated by others. What is also so striking about this "greatest story ever told"-- is that it comes from only one pure motivation--love! Love that the world has never seen in such measure and quality at any other time or from any other source. What kind of an absolute Creator-God would willingly subject Himself to His own creation for ridicule, rejection, punishment, torture and then a horrific death? Only One that loves the created without measure or limit. The most famous Bible verse states it beautifully: "For God so loved the world that He gave his only-begotten Son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life."
God Bless You Today!

On the Cross: Good Friday
In memory of the suffering and death of our Lord Jesus Christ, the church building will be open for private prayer throughout Friday. Also, we suggest that you take time to read the Gospel of Luke, chapters 22 and 23. As you prayerfully read this passages, meditate on Jesus Christ and His limitless love.

Easter Offering for World Mission
Grace Community Church has no greater mission than reaching those who do not yet know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and then helping them become Christ-like disciples. We do that locally. We also support that globally through Nazarene Missions International. Every Easter we receive offerings to support global ministry. This year our goal is $1200.00. Please pray about what you could do to share Christ's love in this way. |

RockSolid Men's Ministry--Helping Others
When the Grace Community Men's Ministry was in the planning stages 2 years ago, a name was selected for our group: "RockSolid." The hope was that this ministry would build RockSolid followers of Jesus Christ who would influence others, particularly young men in positive and godly ways. So when you see the name "RockSolid" think of the men we are building and the lives we hope to touch and see transformed! Also, over the coming weeks we are going to strengthen this ministry by devoting 3 hours a month as a group to helping someone in need. Watch for details! |

Extreme Church Makeover Workers and Sponsors
There has been a good initial response to this ministry planned for May 31--June 2 (Thursday -- Saturday) at Media, PA. We are looking for two distinct lines of support for this. First are the people willing to donate their time to go to Media and work. Second, we are looking for sponsors--people that would commit a financial contribution of $90 for the three days to cover the costs of someone who is donating their time. We believe that we will have at least 6 people from Grace Community who would be willing to commit their time so we are looking for 6 additional people who would sponsor financially. For either option, please sign up here. Thank you! . |
