From Pastor Wes
One of the highlights of each week for me is to be with our youth on Wednesday evening!
What a wonderful group of young people! The evening is a amazing mixture of laughter and serious reflection under the great leadership provided by Pastor Matt.
Over the coming months there will be a new form of ministry taking place once each month. Someone will be invited to come and share their spiritual pilgrimage with our young people.
This past Wednesday Jon Lambert gave his testimony of he came to know Jesus Christ as Savior during his college years. He shared how God did remarkable things in his life that pointed to God's divine providence and guidance. Jon's life was forever changed as a result!
It reminded me of when the Psalmist said "we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, his power, and the wonders he has done."
(Psalm 78:4)
One of the very best things we can do!
Tell the next generation what God has done in your life!
God Bless You Today!
--Pastor Wes

On the Road to the Cross

As Jesus was making that final trip to Jerusalem, He knew that He would be arrested, tortured and then put to death on the cross. Yet He kept His focus on the Father's will--to be the Savior for the world! This Sunday Pastor Wes will be continuing the Easter sermon series "On the Road to the Cross"

Easter Sunday Sunrise Service
It is several years since we have had a Easter Sunrise Service. We are anticipating a celebration service in which we would meet at 6:00 am at the Church and go immediately to a nearby park for a time of praise and worship. Sunrise is at 6:31. The service would conclude before 7:00 am. We need to get some idea how many would like to attend. If you are interested, please let Pastor Wes know by sending an email here.

Easter Offering for World Mission
Grace Community Church has no greater mission than reaching those who do not yet know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and then helping them become Christ-like disciples. We do that locally. We also support that globally through Nazarene Missions International. Every Easter we receive offerings to support global ministry. This year our goal is $1200.00. Please pray about what you could do to share Christ's love. |

Extreme Church Makeover at Media
On May 31 through June 2, there will be an intensive three days to enhance, change, improve, help a local church on our district. The Media, PA church is pastored by Rev. Dawn Reed-Snell who was our revival speaker a few years ago. Together, with Nazarenes from across our District we are going to give a "shot in the arm" to the folks at Media. There is much to do, including landscaping, trees to be cut down, mulch to be spread, sidewalks to be repaired, bushes to be trimmed, window replacement, roofing, painting and more. We will also be doing a VBS as our outreach project. The theme will be "Mission to Mars." We will be reaching out to the surrounding neighborhood with flyers and each night we will be conducting a VBS. Housing will be made available, food to be provided and a great weekend serving the Lord together will happen. We are asking for a financial contribution of $90 for the three days to help this small church cover the costs of food, housing and insurance. We'd like to see at least 6 people from Grace Community who would be willing to commit to helping this other Church. Please sign up here . |
