From Pastor Wes Perhaps the most fulfilling experience we can have as Christians is helping others to know about and know Jesus Christ!
This past Saturday was a terrific day of fellowship and growth. There were nine of us who spent the full day gaining and practicing skills in sharing the good news found only in Jesus Christ.
Did you know that every single Christian has gifts and talents to help others know Jesus? God can and will work through anyone who is willing! The highlight of the day for me was listening to personal stories of transformation by Jesus' power and grace.
No one can argue with your story! They may argue with creation, the Bible, the Church, but they can't argue with what Jesus Christ has done in your heart.
The Bible tells us to "Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." (1 Peter 3:15)
Remember, rehearse and tell your story of God's love and salvation in your life and others will be touched by your story of God's love and grace!
God Bless You and Through You This Week!

Pontius Pilate Presentation This Sunday
What can a self-serving 1st century Roman like Pontius Pilate have to say to a 21st century Christian about Easter? This Sunday, come and be challenged by a presentation of the ancient Roman governor who presided over the trial of Jesus. This dramatic presentation will be part of the preaching by Rev. Geoff Stanley, a counselor and past Navy Chaplain. Expect ancient, yet modern insights into the Gospel message as Geoff ministers to us! Invite a friend for this special opportunity! |

Tuesday Men's Focus: Path to Victory!
Next Tuesday we continue with the second part of the series with the lengthy title: "Can a man have victory over the sin in his life, or must we be stuck in the same sins over and over again?" In this session we will be focused on the vital topic of the pattern of defeat, of falling into sin. Men, you won't want to miss this important biblical discussion! Pastor Wes' home at 7:00 pm. Mission 2012 Offering: Funding the Mission
Already we have 20 people participating in the Mission 2012 Offering to support local and global missions! That includes two children who have made a pledge of 10 cents per day! Since people are supporting at different levels, we are praying for just 9 more people who would support at $2.00 per day for the remainder of 2012 to reach our goal in full--Praise God of this wonderful response! This is a freewill offering given generously in addition to basic tithes. Thank to all who are participating! Please mark your offering "Mission 2012 Offering." |

Kids and Teen News
Happy Wednesday, Grace Community! Hope that this week has been Christ-Inspired and Spirit Filled! Here is what is happening in the lives of our Children and Youth this week! Starting today, the youth group will begin a once a month series called, What's Your Story? We are inviting people in our church that the Wednesday Crowd don't normally see to share with us and their journey with Christ. Would you like to share with us? Contact Pastor Matt by email! This weekend, Pastor Matt is going to the Regional Festival of Life at Eastern Nazarene College. This is the yearly competition in where high school students from the region come and share their talents that God has given them! Check out this video that Pastor Matt made from the Philly District FOL in October.
How would you like to minister to our kids and teens this summer? There are a lot of different events this summer! In July, we have Vacation Bible School called Sky! Two weeks later, we are sending our teens to Summer Camp in Pembroke, PA. After that we have two weeks of Kids Camp! Also, Young Adults, we haven't forgotten about you at all! There is a Young Adults Retreat in June! Talk to Pastor Matt if you are interested ASAP! Click here for the flyer. Coming Soon to our church, Youth Sunday! (Stay Tuned for more information!)
As always, please keep our children and youth in prayer. 2012 has already been an amazing year for us and we are still so excited for what God has in store for us!

Extreme Church Makeover at Media On May 31 through June 2, there will be an intensive three days to enhance, change, improve, help a local church on our district. The Media, PA church is pastored by Rev. Dawn Reed-Snell who was our revival speaker a few years ago. Together, with Nazarenes from across our District we are going to give a "shot in the arm" to the folks at Media. There is much to do, including landscaping, trees to be cut down, mulch to be spread, sidewalks to be repaired, bushes to be trimmed, window replacement, roofing, painting and more. We will also be doing a VBS as our outreach project. The theme will be "Mission to Mars." We will be reaching out to the surrounding neighborhood with flyers and each night we will be conducting a VBS. Housing will be made available, food to be provided and a great weekend serving the Lord together will happen. We are asking for a financial contribution of $90 for the three days to help this small church cover the costs of food, housing and insurance. We'd like to see at least 6 people from Grace Community who would be willing to commit to helping this other Church. Please sign up here by March 20. |
