This past week some of us were able to attend the annual Front Step, Inc Banquet in Philadelphia.

Front Step is a great organization working directly in Philadelphia neighborhoods for changing lives.

They provide services that equip and empower people, and directly assist the urban community in realizing its full potential.

Front Step was begun by our District Leaders with the goal of making a difference in the lives of people in  Philadelphia--and that is truly happening!

A highlight of the evening was hearing the firsthand stories of people from the neighborhood whose lives have been helped by the assistance and compassion of Front Step.

Jesus gave the promise of blessing by God: "...take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me."

It's great to see what vision, compassion and dedication are doing in the City of Philadelphia!

On the Road to the Cross
Easter Cross;
What mattered most to Jesus as he headed toward Jerusalem while knowing what awaited Him there? The Sunday Pastor Wes will continue the sermon series entitled "On the Road to the Cross."  You will benefit greatly as we study the Bible passages of Christ's action and reaction.  This will aid your life in what really matters in times of stress and turmoil.
Mission Sunday and Dinner
Sunday, March 4 you give you a snapshot of what Grace Community Church is helping to accomplish for the Kingdom of God locally, regionally and globally. Did you know that we have an impact far beyond this corner in pointing people to Jesus Christ and attending to the needs of their bodies, minds and souls?  Come and learn the impact you are making!  Following the Morning Worship Service will be our monthly dinner. We encourage everyone to bring a meal to share that represents the food of the world from different cultures.

It's A Good Thing: Be a "Contagious Christian"
Great investment of one day--to become better at sharing what God has done for you and in your life.   The next seminar will be on Saturday, March 10 from 9:00 to 4:00 pm.  The cost is $10. for materials.  Snacks and lunch are provided.  You can get further in information at Contagious Christian Info. This could really help at least one person you care about!  Please sign up here.

Men's Group....Sunday Morning Edition

Brian Clark has begun a series on men from the Bible and the lessons we can learn from their lives.  Things begin at 9:30, with the Men's Class meeting at 9:45 in Pastors' office.   Guys, you'll enjoy this series!

Data Entry Person
We are in need of someone who could help out with office duties.  If you have some time, computer skills, and attention to detail, please speak with Ming about an important need that we have at this time.   Thank you!
Church Directory & Webpage:
The new church directories are at the printers and expected to be available by March 4th.   Also, this past week some very kind people donated the funds for our website hosting for the coming year--Praise the Lord.  Ken Weyna Jr. has begun work on this--thank you, Ken!  Please keep him in prayer so that the web site will truly be a great testimony to Jesus Christ and to Grace Community Church of the Nazarene!
Two Great Gospel Presentations

We are planning the next Grace Community Church group trips and there are two now available for immediate sign-up:

First, "He is Alive!"   This is the resurrection story presented dramatically by the Fountain of Life Church in Burlington, NJ.  This passion play celebrates the life, ministry, death and resurrection of Jesus in an unforgettable way!  There are over 200 volunteers that help make this a powerful recount of Christ's love.  With tickets at $10 or less, maybe you could invite a friend or two?  We are planning on attending the Friday evening presentation on March 30 at 7:30 pm and the Saturday evening presentation on March 31. Check out these links and respond here by February 19 if you would like to attend.

Second, "Jonah" at Sight and Sound Theater, Lancaster, PA  We are assessing if there would be interest in a Grace Community Church group trip to see "Jonah" at Sight and Sound Theater in Lancaster, PA on August 18th.  Sight and Sound productions are of highest quality and sell out early, so we would need to purchase our tickets by February 26.  The cost would be $64.00 per ticket.  Please respond as soon as you are able by expressing your interest here for this event.   Thank you to Amy Weyna for coordinating these events!

Pastor Matt Joins in Choir Celebration
While Pastor Matt was at Eastern Nazarene College, he was part of the Gospel Choir. The Gospel Choir is one ENC's musical ensembles and has a rich history of leading the college campus in worship during chapel services and other special events.  Also, the choir has been privileged to represent the college in music ministry at various churches and events throughout the East Coast Region.  This Saturday evening the Gospel Choir will be recording a new album in concert at the Student Center Auditorium. Some guest alumni have been invited to participate, including Pastor Matt! Please keep him in your prayer as he travels to Boston for this great ministry event!
