From Pastor Wes:

Did you know that on our Philadelphia Nazarene District there are over 120 people preparing for ordained ministry?  This past weekend was the annual "Ministry Assessment Center"--   a weekend for helping candidates assess their call to ministry and the gifts and graces operating in their lives.

It is always gratifying to see God's call upon people and how they respond.  I especially enjoy hearing the life stories of how God has saved, sanctified and called.

Sometimes the candidates have some uncertainty or insecurity that God could possibly use them.   We see that uncertainty in Moses-see Exodus 3.  But the promise of God is sure:  those He calls He will equip!

Are you answering God in all He is calling you to?   He says: "Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

 --Isaiah 41:10

 God Bless YOU today!

Update on Church Name:
We had a total of 28 suggestions made for the church name. The full list is posted on bulletin boards at the Church.  The Church Board is currently reviewing these names and will narrow these down to 2 choices in the coming weeks. Please keep them in your prayers on this matter!  Hopefully, we will be able to make you aware of these two choices prior to the Annual Meeting on January 29. There, the Members of the Church will vote on the new name. Thanks again to everyone for your participation in this process!
NOTES OF PERSONAL LOSS:
Please keep in your prayers those who have lost loved one's recently: Chris and Alicia Grondski in the passing of her father; Rena Hopkins in the passing of her youngest son and her sister-in-law in the same week; also the Prugh family in the passing of Harry Prugh.  Praise God for the hope He gives us that transcends physical death!
