 From Pastor Wes:

PASS IT ON!

Sometimes when we receive a blessing, it is not for us to keep, but to pass on to someone who may need it more.

This past weekend  a very kind person gave me two beautiful loaves of bread.  I was thankful and touched by that generous act of kindness.  But since I was headed out of town for a few days, I wondered what best to do with it.

One loaf sat next to me as I went to the gas station.  The gas attendant looked cold, overworked and unhappy.  After he finished with the gas pump, I showed him the beautiful loaf of bread and asked if he would like it.  His face broke out into a huge smile and his whole demeanor changed  as he accepted it. It seemed like this simple act had made his whole day.

But it had cost me nothing!   I simply passed along from the kindness that I had  already received.

Jesus said, "Freely you have received. Freely give."
 Simple statement.  Profound idea!
As we share Christ's love, God's joy will be spread around!

God Bless YOU today!

CHURCH VISION FOR 2012:
God accomplished many great things for the Church in the past year and we praise Him for it!  We are poised to take some significant steps forward in 2012 strengthening our ministry and outreach.   Bible Quiz team, Vacation Bible School, Youth Praise Team,  Summer Camps, Creation Music Festival, Festival of Life conferences are all vital new ministries targeted to children and youth.   Also, we are taking steps to build our Ladies' and Men's Ministries--watch for these in the coming month.  At the core, everything that we seek to do should fit the criterion of "Continuous Intentional Discipleship"--helping every person grow to be more like Jesus Christ.  What does He want to do in your heart and life this year?
Updates on Church Name and Directory
We had a total of 28 suggestions made for the church name. The full list is posted on bulletin boards at the Church. During the coming weeks the Church Board will narrow these down to 2 choices in consultation with our District leaders.  A vote should take place on January 29 at the Annual Meeting. Thanks to everyone for your participation in this process!  Also thank you for your assistance in creating the new church directory!
