Church Membership Update
   Thoughts From
Pastor Wes:

On Monday Sarah and I  went to a Kenny Rogers concert.

In the 1980's,whatever station I turned on there would be a Kenny Rogers song sooner or later.

Songs like "Lucille", "The Gambler", "Ruby, Don't take Your Love...." were big hits at that time.   But on Monday, the most ardent applause was for the Christmas carols.

Kenny even gave some good advice:  He said that our society was losing "Merry Christmas" to more generic greetings like "Happy Holidays" and that we should speak up and say "Merry Christmas."

But the high point for me was when he said that  the birth of Jesus, the Son of God, was "the greatest story ever told."   Amen to that!

It is good to know that we can go to a "secular" concert at New Jersey State Theater and the Gospel is even present there.

Praise God that we have evidence of God coming into this world everywhere we look.  The Bible tells us
"For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities-- his eternal power and divine nature-- have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse."
(Romans 1:20)

Rejoice in the all the evidence of God around you today!

God Bless YOU today!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Christmas Greetings from Pastor Wes and Sarah:
RWT-SAT
It is a great honor and privilege as Pastor and wife to wish you and your loved ones a wonderful and blessed Christmas! As the angels told the shepherds, this is "good news of great joy for all the people"!  Because Jesus Christ came into the world, we can always have hope, joy and peace. May it be so for you!
Christmas Sunday at First Nazarene:
This Sunday, Christmas Day, plan on bringing the whole family to a beautiful Worship Service of carols and praise.  The Worship Service will begin at 10:45 in the Main Sanctuary. The most accessible parking will be at the front door of the Church.  Please note that there will not be Sunday School. However we will have a special Christmas Offering to support the ministry of the Church of the Nazarene around the world. Contribute as you are able!
Church Office Closed Next Week:
Between Christmas and New Year's, the church office will be closed so that the Pastors and Ming may spend time with family.  Pastor Wes and Sarah will be with Sarah's mom in Watertown, NY.  Pastor Matt will be with his family in NYC. And Ming will be on a much-deserved vacation with her family.  If you have an emergency, please call Pastor Wes' cell at 609-226-9615.
