JP in the NEWS! |
Jeremiah's Promise was featured in four local newspapers on December 3-- and was on the front page of three of them! The Sunnyvale Sun, Cupertino Courier and Los Gatos Weekly Times showcased our nonprofit and two of our girls, and the Los Altos Town Crier highlighted the college graduation of our first resident, as well as, the poignant gifts of some of our volunteers. An Introduction to the New JP Team:

The JP Residents:
|
We are pleased to welcome four new residents into the JP house this fall. We have a full
house of smart, engaging, lovely young women. We look forward to seeing how each one will heal, grow and move forward to a life of confident independence. We are pleased to announce that one of our long-term girls has been accepted to the San Francisco Academy of Art, and will be beginning classes in January. Each girl is working and looking forward to going to college in the coming semester.
On December 4th, the JP staff and residents visited San Francisco for a day of eating huge desserts, checking out Christmas decorations at Union Square and watching "A Christmas Carol" at the American Conservatory Theatre. Residents and staff had the chance to get a FREE make-over at Neiman Marcus! It was a wonderful day to bond and enjoy a pre-Christmas celebration! As Marina said, "This was the best day. I'm going to call this day my birthday. It was great!"

Weekly Workshops |
Jeremiah's Promise weekly life skills workshops are tackling the tough topic of domestic abuse for the month of December. This workshop will focus on identifying abuse in relationships, how to handle a domestic abuse situation, all in contrast to what healthy relationships look like. Our hope is that workshops such as these will cultivate knowledge and a deeper sense of self worth. |

A Season of Giving |
During these turbulent economic times, our personal savings and investments may make us cringe and our jobs may be at risk. Still, teen girls emerging from foster homes deserve to stay on the path of hope and a good future. JP continues to provide proven programs and services for vulnerable young teens. These girls can't keep moving forward without your help!
We are a way station for often forgotten youth who are God's children. We believe that God has a plan that none of these young women be put on the street without hope for a better future. Your contribution of $25, $100, $500, $1000 or more helps us address the complex needs of these women and guide them toward a life of confident independence. Even the smallest donation makes a difference! To make donating simpler for you, visit the Jeremiah's Promise website and click on Online Giving at the right of the page. |

Donor Blessings! |
In times of economic hardship, it wouldn't be surprising to see our nonprofit have some struggles. At the same time, we are pleased to report that JP has recently received significant donations from the 100 Women's Charitable Foundation and the Hulburt-Johnson Foundation! We want to thank all of the foundations, corporations, donors and amazing volunteers for their generosity and sincere heart in helping us attain our mission. We have deep gratitude for all you do!
A special thanks to the 100 Women's Charitable Foundation for organizing the Christmas tree trimming party and contributing so much time and energy to make this season extra-special! |
Thank you for spending the time to catch up on all the great news at Jeremiah's Promise! We look forward to keeping you updated in the following months!
Sincerely,
Kim Golter & the JP Staff Jeremiah's Promise, Inc. | |
