In Memory: Luis Diego Gomez

Dear Friends of OTS, Las Cruces, and the Wilson Botanical Garden,

Luis Diego GomezIt is with great sadness that I report the loss of Luis Diego Gomez who passed away on November 13, 2009. Luis Diego left an indelible mark on the natural heritage and scholarship of Costa Rica, but nowhere more so than at Las Cruces Biological Station and the Wilson Botanical Garden. For more than 20 years, his vision, hard work, mentorship, and friendship shaped Las Cruces and OTS into the institutions that they have become. He will be missed by many.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Luis Diego and his family.
