P2 WEEK
9/17 - 9/23

Pollution Prevention Week is the third full week in September each year.  This week is an opportunity for individuals, businesses, and government to emphasize and highlight their pollution prevention and sustainability activities and achievements, expand current pollution prevention efforts, and commit to new actions.

GREEN APPLE DAY OF SERVICE

West Michigan is undeniably one of the most vibrant sustainability regions in the country. It's time to represent these values by registering a project for USGBC's Green Apple Day of Service.

On September 29th, Chapters from around the country will be performing acts of service in their local schools. Acts of service can be as simple as planning a day of outside activities for the students, or as proactive as coordinating volunteers to conduct a baseline energy audit on the school and help educate the community on these results ultimately creating an action plan for the school.

USGBC Emerging Professionals Regional Recruitment Chair

The West Michigan Chapter is seeking a new Regional Recruitment Chair. The USGBC Emerging Professionals program bolsters the careers of professionals from a range of disciplines through networking opportunities and hands-on leadership experience.

USGBC seeks 20 volunteer Emerging Professionals Regional Recruitment Chairs to help implement the revitalization of the Emerging Professionals program.
