Israel Fellow
Hopkins Hillel is exploring the possibility of bringing an Israeli staff member to campus next fall. Israel Fellows are sent to campuses through a partnership between Hillel International and the Jewish Agency. We are looking for a group of students to Skype with possible candidates during the week of Passover in order to make a recommendation as to who might be a good fit for our campus. If you are interested in being a part of this group, please email Debbie.

Mark Your Calendars: Yom Ha'shoah
Come to an incredible Emmy award winning film screening and discussion about Sir Nicholas Winton who saved Jewish Children during the terrors of the Holocaust by transporting them from Prague to England. Following the conversation, there will be a brief Memorial Service to remember and mourn the loss of 6,000,000 Jews during the Holocaust. Please mark your calendars for Wednesday, April 18 at 7:30pm.

Lunch & Learn: AIPAC's Leadership Development Director, Jonathan Kessler
On Tuesday, April 10 at 1 pm, Hopkins Hillel is privileged enough to be hosting AIPAC's Leadership Development Director, Jonathan Kessler. Kessler has worked at AIPAC for years and has been particularly involved in developing AIPAC's Student Leadership and Development program over the years and has been at the forefront in training pro-Israel activists over the years. If you are interested or plan on attending, please respond by Monday, April 9 at 12 noon to aweiss19@jhu.edu to reserve your spot. This is a remarkable opportunity to learn more about how you can get involved or should approach pro-Israel advocacy on the Hopkins campus.

Matzah Brei
Everyone is missing mom's Passover cooking so come to the Wolman kitchen from 6:30 to 8pm on April 10 to enjoy some homemade matzah brei cooked up by campus' most experienced chefs, Andrea Fields and Joseph Boris. For those a little less adventurous, there will also be macaroons, chips, plain matzah with cream cheese and jelly and other snacks to munch on. All food will be Kosher for Passover provided by Hillel but the utensils/supplies used to cook will not be. Everyone's welcome and it will be a great way to hang out with friends and relax during the holiday! Plus, who could pass up free, home-cooked food? Click here for more information!

Rosh Chodesh Women's Discussion Group
In Jewish tradition, Rosh Chodesh, the beginning of a new Hebrew month is dedicated to women's celebration, and since the rise of the feminist movement in the 1970s, Rosh Chodesh groups have given women great opportunities to build community while intellectually challenging each other. Are you interested in celebrating the new moon with other Jewish women while having in depth conversations about what it means to be a Jewish woman? We will be exploring Jewish text and having meaningful, on-going conversations. We hope to pilot one session this semester on Wednesday, April 25 at 6:30 PM and build this as a monthly program for next year. If you're interested in being a part of this group, please email Debbie.

Save the date for the Annual Meeting
On Tuesday, April 24 at 6 PM in the MPR the Hopkins Hillel Governing Board will be celebrating the year and honoring two outstanding board members, Jerry Schnydman '68, All American Lacrosse star and Assistant to President Daniels and Fred Heyman our past president.
We hope lots of students can come celebrate and honor our leaders, as you are the true reason for our celebration.
The meeting will be short and will include a slide show highlighting student leadership, engagement and programming. Tasty appetizers will be served.
Don't miss it! Please come, eat and celebrate a great year.

Free T-Shirts
There's a lot of action on the east side of Charles Street and all of us on this side of the street (housing and dining, health and counseling centers, Center for Social Concern, Hillel, etc) created a really great t-shirt to entice students to cross the street and spend time with us. We'll be printing a map as well that will help new and prospective students find Hillel and our neighbors. Please stop by and pick up your FREE t-shirt anytime and wear it with pride.
