To defy: to resist; to refuse to submit to; to challenge; to confront boldly and courageously; to work tirelessly to change "Defy the Lie!" That is the theme of this year's Community Healing Days. With that rallying cry, we are calling all black people to confront boldly and courageously all the stereotypes that are limiting us and burdening us as a people. We must challenge the lies about Black people that are rooted in one big lie: the lie of Black inferiority--and work tirelessly to replace them with the truth. Click here to see our brand new "Defy the Lie" public service announcement, which we ask you to share with your family and friends, and click here to see our "Defy the Lie" flyer and brochure, which you can download, copy, and include in church bulletins and other community announcements. | | Defy the Lie |
