Dear Friends:

"We have the power to mend ourselves and others, simply by being true to our own feelings. Black pain may be a reality, but it doesn't have to be our destiny. Let's bring new meaning to 'lift as we climb.' Let's join hands to pull ourselves up, up from the legacy of pain, and into the light of wellness."

The Community Healing Network's celebration of community healers continues, with a CHNetwork conversation with mental health activist, Terrie Williams.

Join us this coming Monday, March 29, 2010, at 6PM, Eastern time, for a talk with Williams, leader of a new, ground-breaking national media campaign for mental wellness in the Black community, and author of Black Pain: It Just Looks Like We're Not Hurting.

We'll talk about the new campaign, her personal struggle with depression, the devastating effect of depression and other mental illnesses on our community--and the growing movement for emotional healing and renewal for Black people.

Tune in to the

CH Network on Blog Talk Radio

at 6PM Eastern and
call in at (718) 664-6005.

Join the movement at www.communityhealingnet.org and join the conversation on Facebook and Twitter, and please encourage your family and friends to join as well. Thank you.

And be sure to put "time for healing" on your agendas. Mark your calendars now to participate in the third annual celebration of Community Healing Days-CHN's annual call to healing and renewal for Black people--on October 15, 16, and 17, 2010.

Sincerely,
