The Pirate Crew Share Their Feelings on the Abduction of the Fat Lady
Omaha, NE - October 14, 2008
Opera Omaha officials have acknowledged the
receipt of leaked video from members
of the band of Pirates involved in the
kidnapping of the Fat Lady.

The Fat Lady was first reported missing early this month
following the break-in of the
Opera Omaha office by the infamous Pirates of
Penzance in protest of the company's marketing efforts, which the Pirates felt
misrepresented their true image and brand.
"This latest
development has given us a glimmer of hope that the Fat Lady will be returned,"
states Kelly Blice, Director of Marketing.
"Yesterday - Mr. Wehrle, our
General Director, proclaimed our intentions to continue to promote this most
delightful show, which runs this Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. He also invited everyone (including the
Pirates) to come together and enjoy all that opera can offer."
When asked if the invitation should be considered an 'olive
branch,' Mr. Wehrle simply reiterated the company's philosophy - "Opera is for
Everyone."
