Massachusetts Aggression Reduction Center
On Friday, the fifth and sixth grade students gathered for a presentation on bullying and cyberbullying. A graduate student from the Massachusetts Aggression Reduction Center (MARC) spoke to the children about types of bullying and strategies to implement if they are being bullied, or are a bystander to bullying. This presentation will be followed by a parent presentation by Elizabeth Englander, the Director of MARC on November 4 at Masconomet. Members of the Proctor Community continue to work with our children through Steps to Respect and classroom meetings to support children as they use these strategies. If you would like more information on MARC, you can visit their website http://webhost.bridgew.edu/marc/ or visit the Tri-Town Council's website at http://www.tritowncouncil.org/. All School Assembly We have "caught" our students being respectful, responsible and safe! At our second all school assembly, we celebrated some of our community members that were caught. Connor Swarts was caught being responsible and respectful, Mrs. Lantz's class was caught being responsible, Stephanie Mini was caught being respectful and Sam Petersen was caught being respectful. Bus Behavior Recently we have received a number of reports about unsafe bus behavior. Please remind your children of the behavior that is expected on the bus as defined in the Code of Conduct in the handbook. We appreciate your support.
