HAPPY NEW YEAR! WELCOME 2009!
Snowflakes gently floating through the air, intricate beautiful lacey forms - symbols of the new year settling in. What will this year hold? How can we make it everything we wish for? I know it's important to start off on a positive note; I am reminded of what usually works for me:
Focus on what I want and NOT on what I don't!
It's so obvious, and yet I forget. Do you? What works for YOU?
In preparation for all the things you wish to attract, and keeping Feng Shui principles in mind, it's useful to set aside a couple of hours to give your home or office a New Year blitz. And to note that you are welcoming a very special guest to your home, the year 2009! Prepare your home in the same way you would if you were welcoming a V.I.P.
Get rid of clutter. Sort out your computer files. Brighten up each room. Make sure everything you have in your home is what you LOVE and boosts your spirits.
 And because you no doubt deserve it, offer yourself a New Year's gift, anything in the colour of red or purple, 'fire' energy to enhance abundance and prosperity! | NO, NOT SNOWFLAKES. WATER CRYSTALS.
For those of you who have seen The Secret, you will have heard of  Dr. Emoto Masaru - a
Japanese man whose research involves photographing frozen crystals from water exposed to various thoughts, phrases or prayer. He has had extraordinary results. This photo of the beautifully intricate crystal represents water subjected to positive thoughts.
Negative phrases on the other hand, resulted in images of deformed, ugly, disintegrating crystals. Equally dramatic were photos of water from the polluted Fujiwara Dam in Japan, before and after prayers were directed toward it:

Masaru's theory of 'Hado' (energy, or the intrinsic vibrational pattern of all matter) suggests that since all phenomena is resonating energy, by changing the vibration we change the substance. Quantum physics clearly suggests we do alter our environment with our thoughts, as they are vibrational energy.
This directly ties in with the concept taught in Feng Shui: that the enhancements you make in your home, combined with clear intention, influence your physical and emotional well-being. Thus you can be stunningly effective in achieving your goals by consistently focusing on positive ideas and thoughts. It takes training and practise. It is worth the effort. We all benefit from loving, positive thinking. Consider also that our bodies are at least 70% water and you can imagine why Masaru's research results may be significant.
