Cambridge Professor and Amarna Researcher Made Cross-Country Speaking Tour
The ARCE chapters demonstrated their remarkable vigor this fall as they organized and hosted a 12-city speaking tour featuring invited lecturer Dr. Barry Kemp. Dr. Kemp, Professor of Egyptology at Cambridge University, has authored several key texts within the field, including the renowned Ancient Egypt: Anatomy of a Civilisation; he is also director of the Amarna Project and chairman of the Amarna Trust. His presentation, "Toward A Better Understanding of Amarna: Recent Research in the City and Its Main Cemetery," delighted and informed the enthusiastic audiences in each chapter location.
