KEKOKA YOGA RETREAT GREAT SUCCESS
yoga retreatMore than 60 people ages 19-69 attended the recent Kekoka Yoga Retreat weekend at YMCA Camp Kekoka in Kilmarnock.  The event began Friday with "Laughter Yoga," continued with sunset yoga on the waterfront stage, and ended with yin yoga and pranayama Sunday.  The retreat raised almost $5000 for camp scholarships.

The range in participants' yoga experience was wide: from people brand new to yoga, to yoga instructors, and other seasoned practitioners.  Classes and activities included all levels of yoga, meditation, pranayama, anatomy, eating mindfully, mindful relationships, "Sutra talk," water activities, fireside circles, massages, and acupuncture.

"The air was alive with energy! There was something available at each session for every participant whether they were seasoned yogis or beginners.  I am grateful to everyone who so graciously shared of themselves with each other and me. My life was forever touched by these wonderful warm friends." said participant Katie West.

Next year's retreat is May 17-19.  For more information, please contact Cassie Leichty at cassie.leichty@peninsulaymca.org.
