INDOOR GROUP CYCLING

Have you tried one of our new indoor cycling classes at the Y?  We are currently offering morning and evening classes:
 

  • Mondays 6:00 PM
  • Tuesdays 6:30 AM & 5:30 PM
  • Thursdays 5:30 PM
  • Fridays 6:30 AM & 6:00 PM
     

Our indoor cycling classes simulate outdoor cycling experiences. Classes use a combination of visualization and music cues with self-directed resistance to experience a personal level of exercise intensity.  There will be morning and evening classes 

available each week.  Jump-start your personal fitness program with Group Cycling!

 

unTAPPED POTENTIAL


Join us at the Clubhouse in Hills Quarter on October 8 from 4:00-8:00 pm for unTapped Potential, our latest YMCA fundraiser benefitting the Guardian program. Taste a variety of craft beers on tap from the best microbreweries in Virginia! Tickets are $35 per person and include unlimited tastings, delicious bratwursts and dancing to live music by Jumbo Lump Daddy and the Backfin Boys.

 

A special silent auction ("Yeast Meets Best") will offer the chance to untap potential by bidding on lessons with talented community members in areas such as art, sports, cooking, photography, personal finance and more.

 

Proceeds provide financial assistance to families and individuals in our community, allowing them to participate in membership and programs such as childcare, preschool, health & wellness, summer camp, Bright Beginnings, youth & adult sports and much more.

FESTIVAL OF THE TREES
FOT 

Our committee is hard at work soliciting local businesses and individuals to donate beautiful entries for our silent auction, and they need your help. If you are looking for a fun, quality time project with your children or church group, then pick a theme and decorate a Christmas wreath or tree for our event. All proceeds from this community weekend extravaganza benefit your neighbors, friends and colleagues, through our Guardian program.

INDOOR SOCCER
 

SoccerImprove your soccer skills in the fast-paced and exciting game of Indoor Soccer during our 2nd season, this Fall.  Coed teams are available for ages 3-5 yrs, 6-8 yrs and 9-11 yrs.  Engage your child with weeknight practices and Saturday games; they will stay active and have fun at the same time! 

Registration begins October 17th and practices will begin November 1st. Cost is $30 for members and $40 for others.
