GOT JARS?
got jars

The Bum has been able to help many of our local children attend day camp this summer, with over $3,700 raised to date.  However, he knows there are still jars filling up out in the community.  If you have a "Change for Camp" jar, it is not too late to turn it in, even if it is not full to the brim.  Just drop it by the Northern Neck Family YMCA at 39 William B. Graham Court, Kilmarnock, and help a few more of our children have fun in a safe, enriching environment.

ANNUAL MAINTENANCE CLOSING

Every year in August the Northern Neck Family YMCA closes for a few days to tend to extensive housekeeping duties.  Our CLOSING days for this year:

Main Facility: Thurs. Aug. 25 - Sun. Aug. 28

Aquatic Center: Wed. Aug. 24 at 12pm - Sun. Aug. 28

You can stay active during our closure, by visiting the Middlesex and Richmond County Family YMCAs.

HIP TO HOOP

hoopsIf your exercise routine needs something new, or a jumpstart, consider the newest craze - Hooping.

Not your child's hula hoop, Hooping compares with boot-camp, step aerobics, and cardio kickboxing in terms of heart rate and calorie burn.

Join David Duhon on Friday, August 12 from 12:30 -2:30 for an intro to hooping. Cost is $25 for members, $30 for program participants. For more information contact Donna McGrath at donna.mcgrath@peninsulaymca.org or 804.435.0223.
