Outdoor Spring Soccer
 
Ages:  3-15 years old
Season Dates:  March 8-April 27 
Cost:  $30 Members/$50 Program Participants  
 
Jerseys, shorts, and socks are supplied by the YMCA. Shin guards are required but not supplied.  Cleats are optional.  All age devisions (excluding 3-5 year olds) practice 2 evenings a week with games on Saturdays.  Register in person at the YMCA or online by visiting our website.  Hurry. Square Dancing Lessons
 
Think you've got two left feet?  Well, just bring them both to a square dance, and before you know it those feet will just start tapping to the music.  No previous experience necessary. Bring a partner or come alone.  2 classes a week for 11 weeks.  The Instructor/Caller is Linwood Thomas.
 
Ages:  14 years old and up
Dates:  March 2-May 14 (Tuesdays & Thursdays)
Time:  6:30-7:45pm
Cost:  $85 Members/$100 Program Participants

Potluck Spring Social 
 
Join us on St. Patricks Day for the YMCA's Potluck Spring Social, Wednesday, March 17 from 6:00-8:00pm.  Come have a good time and get to know other members of your YMCA. Lap Band Information Seminar
 
Dr. Adeso, of Richmond Surgical Specialists, lectures about this minimally invasive bariatric surgery Tuesday March 23, 2010 from 6-8pm.  This seminar is FREE but reservations are required.  Please call 804.320.DOCS (3627) to reserve your spot today.    


jarThe Bum is Back!
 
YMCA Board member, Ben Estes, is once again asking you to collect your spare change to help send a child to camp. 
 
Dumping the change from his pocket one night, Ben realized that many people do the same thing and have spare change lying around.  Why not collect it and help a family in need?  This is the second year of what will be an annual campaign.  Last year, over $3,800 was raised, providing scholarships to send 44 children to Summer Camp.  Pick up a jar at the Y and return it by May 29, or join us for cookies and drinks at a change counting event at the Bank of Lancaster (Main Branch) in Kilmarnock, May 29, 10:00-11:30am.  For more information, or to get a jar, please contact Susan Johnson at sjohnson@peninsulaymca.org.      


Give 2 Hours and Change the Life of a Child
 
The Northern Neck Mentoring and Academic Enrichment Program needs you!  Donating 2 hours of your time each week fills a void, fills a heart, and fills the academic, social, and emotional needs of children in Lancaster County. Coffee House

Join us Friday March 26 from 7:00-10:30pm, at the Lancaster Playhouse in White Stone, for a relaxed evening of live music performed by local artists!  Tickets are $15.00 and include snacks, coffee, soft drinks and a cash bar.  Open Mic from 9:30-10:30 (sign-ups 6:00-7:00).  Hosted by the always hilarious Dave Bresett and Ben Estes.  For tickets or more information, including performance, volunteer or sponsorship opportunities, stop by the Welcome Desk or contact Susan Johnson at sjohnson@peninsulaymca.org.

Make a lasting impression by having a photo or drawing permanently displayed on a wall-tile at the YMCA.  Bring in a family photo, go to Yours Truly Photography and have your photo taken, or make a drawing!  Tile sizes are 6 x 6 in. for $75, or 4 x 4 in. for $50.
