Swim Lessons
 swim lessons                                                                                               Several opportunities for July swim lessons are planned. 

  • July 8-August 1.  Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings at the YMCA Indoor Pool. Instructor Sarah Gordon.

  • July 20-30.  Monday thru Thursday evenings at the YMCA Lively Outdoor Pool.  Instrutor Liz Favazza.

  • July 20-30.  Monday thru Thursday evenings at the YMCA Indoor Pool.  Instructor Robin Blake. 

Times vary based on skill level.  Cost is $20 for members $50 for program participants.  Registration begins July 1.  Hurry and register today!  Space is very limited.  Register in person at the YMCA or online by visiting our website.

Coffee House coffee house
 
A Coffee House is planned for Friday, July 10, 7:00-10:30 pm at the Lancaster Players Playhouse in White Stone.

Join us for a relaxed evening of live music performed by talented local artists.  Tickets are $15.00 and include snacks, coffee, soft drinks and a cash bar.  Open Mic from 9:30-10:30.  For tickets or more information, including performance, volunteer, or sponsorship opportunities stop by the Welcome Desk at the Y or contact Susan Johnson at sjohnson@peninsulaymca.org.
Lifeguard Course
 
A Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Course is scheduled for July. The instructor is Liz Favazza.  Cost is $120 Members/$140 Program Participants.  Classes are scheduled for July 10-12, 9am-5pm and July 13 & 14, 5pm-9pm.  Participants must be 15 years of age or older, able to attend all classes, and able to swim 300 yards without stopping.  Register in person at the YMCA or online by visiting our website.  Hurry!  Registration ends July 7.
 
 


Wiley Child Development Center Graduation
                                                                                               
On June 10th, the Norhtern Neck Family YMCA's Wiley Child Development Center held their 3k and 4k graduation program.  Nine children from the 4k class wore green caps and gowns as recognition that they had completed their preschool years and would be commencing to kindergarten.  Both classes performed fun, interactive songs for a large audience of family and friends.  The evening ended with a cake and punch reception in the teen center.
