The Northern Neck Family YMCA is excited to introduce their newest staff member Melinda Burnette.  Melinda moved to the Northern Neck from Richmond Virginia in January of 2009.  Melinda is nationally certified in Group Exercise and Personal Training.  She previously worked at the Chester and Manchester YMCAs in Richmond.  Melinda has 3 grown children and 3 beautiful grandchildren.  Her hobbies and interests include hiking, biking, swimming, reading, landscaping, and of course exercising!  Melinda states her greatest accomplishment is 10 days of hiking and camping the Andes Mountains of Peru along the Lost Inca Trail.  Melinda is not only passionate about healthy living but also animal rescue and rehabilitation.

Melinda starts her new group exercise classes in March:  "AbsoGlutely" (a combination workout for your Abs and Glutes) Tuesdays at 4:15, "Pilates on the Ball" Thursdays at 4:15, and "Circuit Interval" Thursdays at 5:30. All of these classes are free to YMCA members.

Melinda is also offering personal training sessions, by appointment only, call or stop by the Welcome Center for more information.
