We Have A New Website! | |
Finally, after nearly a year of planning and development, we are excited to announce that our new website is up and running! The address is the same: www.mariondowns.com.
As we have grown over the years, we also outgrew our former website. Professionals, parents, consumers, and patients use our website to get information on managing hearing loss, to register for sign language classes, to get updates on events for the Teen Program, and to find out how to enroll their child into our preschool program. With more and more audiences needing specific information, it became clear that we needed to improve our existing website. Our new website has several new components that will help us streamline processes and operate more efficiently so we can provide as much direct community support as possible. Some include: - You can now register or RSVP for events, sign language classes, and workshops on our Event Registration page. Creating electronic registration/RSVP forms reduces our administration time significantly.
- Our Donation page now has the capability of automatically collecting monthly pledges. We will take advantage of this feature when we launch a campaign celebrating Marion's Centennial birthday.
- On our home page, you'll see a button directing to you a movie about the Marion Downs Hearing Center. Check it out! Over the next few months, we will create a Media Library where you'll be able to see movies on our various programs, including the Preschool and Teen Program, Marion in the nursery several decades ago, and TV spots of the center and our staff.
Take a moment to explore the new website and give us feedback. Would you like to see more information somewhere? See an error? Let us know!
Many thanks to Twist Design Group for their outstanding work on our website!

Unusual Sightings in the Clinic | |
If you were in the clinic for an appointment on Halloween, you might have seen a frog, a pricess, or a cowgirl roaming the halls. No tricks - our kids only got treats today! Did your child have an awesome costume this year? Email us your pictures and we'll share in next month's newsletter!
We hope everyone enjoyed the holiday and had a safe Halloween!

Kid's Corner
| | With the holidays just around the corner, many parents are starting to think about gift shopping. Before you make a purchase, consider the noise the toy makes. It is possible for toys to be so loud, they can cause hearing damage in children!
If you suspect your child's hearing has changed, call us today for a check.
