MARCH OF THE LIVING 2011
One week from today, 10,000 Holocaust Survivors and High School Students from fifty-nine delegations representing over twenty nations will participate in The March of the Living. These individuals will retrace the very steps that many Jewish prisoners were forced to make from Auschwitz to its sub-camp, Birkenau.
And for the second year in a row, Jewish Life Television will travel to Auschwitz to capture it all. JLTV's crew will be leaving for Poland tomorrow, April 26th, and will be traveling with many of the delegations throughout Poland, visiting such historic sites as the the Warsaw Ghetto, the Lodz Ghetto, the Plaszow Concentration Camp and more. JLTV will be presenting live coverage of this historic event, as well as the Bar Mitzvah of Oscar-Winning Producer from Schindler's List, Branko Lustig. Tune into to JLTV on Sunday May 1st and Monday May 2nd.

YOM HASHOAH SPECIAL
JLTV, in partnership with Yad Vashem, will be presenting Never Again, a one-hour Holocaust Remembrance from Pan Pacific Park in Los Angeles on Sunday, May 1st at 1:00PM ET/10:00 PM PT and repeating at 5:00PM ET/2:00PM PT. During this moving tribute, Holocaust survivor will offer their memories of the Shoah.

Philanthropist Jona Goldrich
Appointed to JLTV Board of Governors
Jona Goldrich, a Holocaust survivor, has built a diversified real estate company that is one of the most significant real estate firms in the State of California. His firm, Goldrich & Kest Industries, LLC, based in Culver City, California, focuses on land acquisition, planning, finance and design. As a champion of efforts to help produce more affordable housing in America, Mr. Goldrich was named "Man of the Year" by the National Housing Conference in 1983. He has been the recipient of numerous awards within the Jewish community and from various universities and organizations in Israel. He created the Los Angeles Holocaust Memorial in the city's Pan Pacific Park and has been instrumental in raising funds required to help create a permanent home for the Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust. JLTV is honored to welcome Jona as a member of our Board.

On this day, April 25th in 1979 ... The historic peace treaty - known as The Camp David Accords between Israel and Egypt - goes into effect. The treaty made Egypt the first Arab nation to officially recognize Israel and ended the state of war that had existed between the two countries since Israel's independence in 1948. As part of that peace treaty, three years later on April 25, 1982, Israel returned the Sinai Peninsula to Egypt. |
