Soupy Sales to Return

to Television... Only on JLTV

Milton SupmanMilton Supman, a/k/a Soupy Sales, began his career on television in 1950 on WKRC in Cincinnati.  Over the next three decades, Soupy Sales entertained audiences throughout the nation, punctuating virtually every episode by receiving a cream pie right in the face.  Since The Soupy Sales Show left the air in 1979, Soupy's much-beloved comedic sketches have not been seen on television ... until now.  Starting on February 24th, JLTV will be bring Soupy Sales back to a national television audience.  Whether you ran home from school to watch Soupy Sales or will be watching the "Soup Bone" for the first time, you will finally have an opportunity to catch the rantings of Soupy Sales and his all-star cast of crazy characters, every Thursday at 9:00PM ET/PT on America's Chosen Network, JLTV.

Published February 14, 1949

On January 25, 1949, the newly-independent Israel held its first election for its Constituent Assembly.  Voter turnout broke 85%.  Wasting no time, the victors of that historic election formally met for the first time on this day, February 14, 1949.  The "First Knesset", as it is now called, included 120 members, and on this day in 1949, Joseph Shprinzak was elected Speaker.  Within the month, Chaim Weizmann had been elected President and David Ben-Gurion formed the first government.
