Bruce Corwin Joins JLTV Board of Governors
Bruce C. Corwin, Chairman and CEO of the Los Angeles based Metropolitan Theatres Corporation, has joined the JLTV Board of Governors. Metropolitan is a privately held company owned by the Corwin family since 1923 and currently operates 19 theatres with 90 screens in California, Colorado, Idaho, Utah, and British Columbia. In the mid-1960s, Metropolitan was among the first exhibition circuits in the nation to venture into a Spanish language film policy, both in subtitle form for American movies and in Spanish for Mexican produced films. Bruce has been personally involved with numerous philanthropic organizations including the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the California Community Foundation, for which he has served on the Board of Trustees for both organizations for twenty years. He is a former member of the Board of Trustees for Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Will Rogers Hospital, and a former Charter Board Member of the HELP Group. Bruce's involvement with Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills as past president and currently as chairman of the Board of Directors, along with his involvement in many other Jewish organizations such as Breed Street Shul and the Board of Overseers of the Hebrew Union College, have been an integral part of his life for over thirty years. JLTV is honored to announce Bruce Corwin as a new member of its Board of Governors.
