JLTV to Broadcast Live Street Naming Event Honoring Theodor Herzl
It all happens this Sunday, May 2nd at 11am (PT)/2pm (ET) when the City of Beverly Hills names a street after the founder of Zionism on his 150th birthday. The two-hour special will be repeated during JLTV's full-time programming schedule the week of May 3rd. The program will include the city's Mayor, Jimmy Delshad unveiling the street sign, Israel's Consul General Jacob Dayan addressing the crowd on the significance of the day and other dignitaries as well. JLTV's Founder and President, Phil Blazer will comment on the unknown stories of Herzl from his book If You Will It, It is Not a Dream. The founder of Zionism lived to be only 44 years of age, but in the last decade of his life organized the movement to create a Jewish homeland.
Sherman Grancell Joins JLTV's Board of Governors at 100
 This past month, Sherman Grancell reached a numbers milestone - he celebrated his 100th Birthday. This month, JLTV is honored that one of the nation's most revered philanthropists and legal minds has been added to the list of outstanding men and women who are a part of JLTV and its leadership. Born in Pasadena, Sherman graduated from Belmont High School in 1926. After completing his degree at UCLA, he ventured to the university's rival school, USC, for a law degree. His vast experience as a worker's compensation judge, a deputy commissioner, a founder of a law firm is a tribute to his character. Sherman is vibrant, energetic and dedicated citizen and is currently part of more than a dozen organizations. He established a scholarship endowment for the Herb Alpert School of Music and for the USC Music School. Sherman is also on the board of directors for Design for Sharing and the Los Angeles Jewish Home for the Aging.
