Natan Sharansky Participates in JLTV's Live Broadcast From Poland,
 Encore Times Set for Tonight and Sunday


The Chairman of The Jewish Agency and renown Jewish activist Natan Sharansky joined JLTV's Brad Pomerance in the closing moments of the network's three-hour broadcast from Poland and March of the Living.  Jewish and Christian High School students and survivors marched between Auschwitz and Birkenau concentration camps with JLTV's live camera, a first time coverage event for the monumental annual event. Joining Brad were JLTV staffers Todd Segal and Sam Licker.  Full encore broadcasts are scheduled for tonight, April 12, at 7 PM Eastern and 4 PM Pacific and again at 10 PM/Pacific (1 AM Eastern and this Sunday, April 18 at 1 PM (Eastern) and 10 AM (Pacific).


Jonathan Mitchell, Businessman and Philanthropist, Joins
JLTV's Board of Governors
 

JLTV is proud to announce the appointment of Jonathan Mitchell to its Board of Governors. Jonathan MitchellJonathan began his professional career at Beneficial Standard Life Insurance Company, which was founded by his grandfather, Edward, and was the fourth largest California based insurance carrier. Jonathan's father, businessman Joseph Mitchell was its president. Ultimately, he was appointed president of a sister company which developed and managed commercial and industrial real estate.  
 
In 1985, Mr. Mitchell co-founded and was president of EDM Equities, Inc., the managing general partner of a New York Stock Exchange listed limited partnership, known as Benequity Holdings. Two years later, Benequity was acquired and taken private by an offshore investment firm. Jonathan Mitchell continued in the real estate field, managed his family's portfolio of stocks and bonds and purchased a variety of private companies engaged in such industry sectors as automotive service, building materials, cosmetics, entertainment, food and beverage production and retail sales, high-technology, manufacturing, mergers & acquisitions and textiles, etc., and are located in such diverse locations as Australia, China, Israel, Japan and various cities in the U.S. He is a past founding member and officer of a chapter of the Young Presidents' Organization, and was active in international programming. He is a lifetime member of the World Presidents' Organization.  
 
As president and board member of the Edward D. and Anna Mitchell Family Foundation, Jonathan oversees the administration, investments and charitable giving of the institution. The Foundation is primarily concerned with educational, medical and social needs. He has been and is presently active in a number of non-profit organizations. His positions include serving as a member of the board and Finance Committee of the U.C.L.A. Foundation and the International Board of Governors of the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, etc. He is a trustee of The Washington Institute for Near East Policy.  
 
Mr. Mitchell is a former chairman of numerous local and regional charities and was a national board member and officer (and national chairman of the Political Education Committee) of the American-Israel Public Affairs Committee. He is an Institute for Public Affairs National Award recipient from the Union of Orthodox Congregations of America, as well as the Brandeis Award from the Zionist Organization of America. He also received the Distinguished Community Service Award from the Anti-Defamation League. A father of five, Mr. Mitchell is married and lives in Beverly Hills and Miami Beach with his wife, Michelle, a foreign service officer of the U.S. State Department.
