Holocaust Remembrance Day - Yom Hashoah -  To Broadcast Live Across America on JLTV

On Sunday, April 11, 2010, JLTV will broadcast a special and emotional event focusing on remembering the Holocaust.  The annual day recalls the dark years of death and destruction during World War II.  It also signifies the celebration of the continuation of life of the Jewish people.  The Los Angeles event is being held at the Los Angeles Holocaust Monument in Pan Pacific Park and has been chosen as the symbolic gathering by JLTV as a part of its national broadcast entitled "Never Again, Never Forget."  The keynote speaker will be the eloquent Israel United Nations Ambassador Dan Gillerman (2003-2008).  The broadcast will air live from 1:30 PM PDT/ 4:30 PM EDT and can be viewed in all 50 states on DIRECTV(Channel 366) and Time Warner (Los Angeles - 177 and New York - 120), Comcast (South Florida - Channel 239) and other cable systems as well.  Coincidentally, the event is adjacent to another Hollywood landmark, the CBS Television Studios.  Thousands of survivors, their children and grandchildren, and community leaders have come together for decades at this location to remember the Holocaust. Real Estate developer and philanthropist Jona Goldrich has been the catalyst of this remarkable annual community event.

March of the Living Broadcast
to Highlight Generational Perspectives of the Holocaust Live from Poland on Monday, April 12

JLTV correspondents, headed by Brad Pomerance, will gather the emotions and reaction of some of nearly 10,000 Jewish and Christian youth, survivors and adults as they gather in Poland and walk the emotional March between Birkenau and Auschwitz.  JLTV will broadcast live from this historic and annual event which will signify for the first time the possibility that millions of Americans will have the opportunity to see family members and friends and fellow activists as they remember the Holocaust through the March of the Living.  Participants then go to Israel following their experience in Poland.  Joining Brad will be JLTV reporters Todd Segal and Sam Licker.  Sam is an 11th grader who participated in the network's extensive live and recorded coverage of the Maccabiah Games in Israel this past summer.  He will give, first hand, the perspective of fellow high school students and their commentary. The March takes place on Monday, April 12 and will be re-broadcast throughout that day.
