Jerry Offsay, Producer and Former Showtime President Joins JLTV Board of Directors  Jerry Offsay, former President, Programming for Showtime
Networks, has joined the Board of Governors of JLTV. During his
ten-year tenure at Showtime, he was responsible
for original programming, program acquisitions and scheduling
departments. He was responsible for more than tripling Showtime's
original programming slate of series and films. Many of these programs
appeared in the Venice, Toronto, Sundance and Cannes film festivals and
garnered Emmy, Golden Globe, CableACE, Humanitas and Peabody awards,
among others. Jerry now runs his own company, Parkchester Productions.
He recently produced As Seen Through These Eyes, a documentary that explores music created in the concentration camps.
At Showtime, Jerry was responsible for green-lighting Soldier's Girl and Tennessee Williams' The Roman Spring Of Mrs. Stone,
both of which won a total of 5 Golden Globe nominations. Critically
acclaimed projects that have aired under Jerry's management include Hiroshima,
12 Angry Men, The Twilight of the Golds, Mandela and deKlerk, Thanks of
a Grateful Nation, Inherit the Wind, The Devil's Arithmetic, The
Passion of Ayn Rand, Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman, Bojangles,
Laughter on the 23rd Floor, The Day Reagan Was Shot, and Damaged Care.
Prior
to joining Showtime, Jerry served as Executive Vice President, ABC
Productions for Capital Cities/ABC Inc., where he was responsible for
all production and distribution. Before assuming his position at ABC,
he was President, RKO Pictures. Jerry served as executive producer on
many acclaimed feature films including Eight Men Out, Diabolique, and Hamburger Hill.
