JLTV will be broadcasting the
March of the Living on Monday, April 12, live from Poland. Ten thousand Jewish and Christian high school students will walk between two concentration camps - Auschwitz and Birkenau - which will coincide with the Day of Remembrance. The three-kilometer march has become a lasting symbol of victory over the Nazi evil for the Jewish people and all humanity. This is the first time that the
March of the Living will be broadcast live.
Since its founding in 1988, the
March has become the world's preeminent project aimed at educating the world's youth about the importance of remembering the Holocaust. Highlighting the constant need to combat acts of intolerance, hatred and particularly anti-Semitism, over the past 22 years more than 150,000 people from 50 nations have participated in the
March of the Living. The broadcast of the
March of the Living is part of the Holocaust programming being produced by Jewish Life Foundation, a not-for-profit organization. The various programs will air on Sunday, April 11 and Monday, April 12 and will include an overview of Jewish life in Poland today. On Sunday, JLTV will salute the Lodzer Organization of Los Angeles, interviewing many of its members who are Holocaust survivors along with broadcasting from the Holocaust Memorial in Pan Pacific Park, adjacent to CBS studios in Los Angeles.
