JLTV Concert Performance
Neshama Carlebach began training as a singer at the age of
5. She was trained by her father,
Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach, now proclaimed as the world's greatest contemporary
composer and performer of Jewish music.
The JLTV broadcast mixes her fathers music with an additional sound of
America's Gospel soul. Backing up
Neshama, is the Green Pastures Baptist Choir, featuring Reverend Roger
Hambrick, Vanessa Hambrick and Ajanee Hambrick. The performance was sponsored by Makom Ohr Shalom synagogue.
The broadcast debut of the two-hour concert will be aired on JLTV on Sunday,
January 17 from 8:00-10:00 PM Eastern time (5:00 to 7:00 PM Pacific). Please
enjoy a preview of the telecast.

JLTV To
Produce 13 Part Series For Armed Forces Network
JLTV is proud to announce the expansion of its association
with Armed Forces Network (AFN) following the successful broadcast of its
Chanukah Family TV Special. JLTV
will produce a 13-part series, which will focus on Jewish holidays, culture and
history and will include additional and specific content from JLTV's original
regular programming. The
broadcasts created for our American troops and members of the U.S. Foreign
Service will also air on JLTV.
In a previous bulletin we published the following
correspondence from the AFN.
On behalf
of the American Forces Network, thank you and Team JLTV for gifting us with the
Chanukah Family Television Special for 2009. As the program aired on 13
December to over 1 million troops and family members in 175 countries, it
brought a touch of home to our many wonderful Jewish military members and their
dependents. Additionally Chanukah Family TV Special provided a great cultural
growth opportunity for our entire multi-faith audience. My hope is to
continue this encouragement for our Jewish viewers and education to all others
with Jewish Life Television series presenting the best of Jewish religious
programming to be found in the U.S.
Soldiers, sailors, Marines, airmen,
coastguardsmen, embassy staff and military family members overseas and aboard
ship salute JLTV for bringing Chanukah into their lives this year!
