Israeli Basketball to Air Weekly on JLTV
The Maccabi Haifa Israeli pro-basketball team kicks off their 2009/10 season against defending champs and perennial powerhouse Maccabi Tel Aviv on Thursday, October 29 at 8:00 PM Eastern Time and repeated at 11:00 PM Eastern Time on JLTV. The kick-off match begins a 22 game broadcast season with play-by-play action in English airing on the popular TV network.
The weekly broadcasts are another historic JLTV project. This is the first-time that any Israeli basketball team, Maccabi Haifa, will have its games broadcast outside of Israel on conventional television. The official season begins the end of October and runs through April 25, 2010.
The Israeli basketball league has been ranked by sports enthusiasts as highly competitive and professional. You won't want to miss a single game of non-stop, high-flying action as teams in Israel battle it out on the court with one goal in mind - to win the season championship in Israel.
Viewers will be able to identify with new sports heroes like Maccabi Haifa superstars Davon Jefferson (from USC), Moshe Mizrahi, Ido Kozikaro, Dror Hagag, Jeremy Tyler (from San Diego), and Jason Rich. JLTV is proud to bring professional Israeli basketball competition to its regular program line-up.
JLTV is also supporting two exhibition games featuring Maccabi Tel Aviv in New York against the Knicks on Sunday, October 18th at Madison Square Gardens and in Los Angeles on Tuesday evening, October 20th against the Clippers at
the Staples Center.
